Deli Fresco began as a small delicatessen in Bondi Junction in 1999, owned & operated by the Barbaro family-Ben, Teresa & their children Dominic, Rosemarie, Angela & Rocco. Prior to 1999, the Deli was owned by another family member, ‘Uncle Pete’, who not only employed his own family to work at the store, but also his extended family including many of his nieces & nephews. As a result, we spent most weekends & school holidays working in the Deli through our teenage years gaining invaluable experience & training into the inner workings of a successful delicatessen & the importance of serving fresh food in a timely manner to ensure that customers left happy.
After taking over the Deli each family member soon developed a niche & is responsible for different aspects of the business so as to ensure all aspects of our operation are exemplary. Our family business flourished as we expanded our product range & sourced new delicacies to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. Building on the proven success formula derived from our original Bondi Junction Store, our Miranda store opened in 2004, followed by Hornsby in 2007 & we were excited to open our 4th store in Chatswood in May of 2010.
Since establishment Deli Fresco has maintained a reputation amongst some of the Best Delicatessens in Sydney, providing a variety of fresh food & gourmet delicacies at competitive prices with a friendly & speedy service & is substantiated by the numerous Awards we have been honoured to win over the years.
